Springboard Proud to Announce the Publication of "Repair Your Credit and Knock Out Your Debt" by McGraw-Hill Books

May 3, 2004, 1:31 pm

"Repair Your Credit and Knock Out Your Debt," Springboard's guide to personal financial freedom and credit recovery, is in bookstores now.

Springboard is proud to announce that Repair Your Credit And Knock Out Your Debt has been published by McGraw-Hill Books.

The book, co-written by Jeff Michael, Springboard's Director of Education, and novelist and playwright Thom Fox, is intended as a motivational self-help guide that will give consumers a better understanding of their situation and help them realize that they can attain financial freedom, no matter how insurmountable their debts might seem.

"Springboard has helped thousands of consumers with their debts," President & CEO Dianne Wilkman said, "and this book helps package some of our experience and expertise for any reader interested in getting motivated to attain financial freedom."

"What we've written is a motivational guide with some advice and tips from Springboard's archives of 30 years' worth of educational materials," Michael said. "The point isn't to be encyclopedic--there's plenty of debt-relief advice available on the internet for free--but to get the reader excited about the possibility of being debt free. Our hope is that debtors who read this book will finish it ready to tackle their debts and repair their own credit with confidence and enthusiasm."

"McGraw-Hill books felt it was important that the  cover price be kept low," Wilkman said. "It didn't make sense to write a book for people with debt problems and slap a huge pricetag on it. So it's a bargain at less than $10."

"We know the book's advice works not only because we've  helped thousands of consumers conquer their debts," Michael said, "but also because the book's co-author, Thom Fox, actually applied the book's principles to his own debt as part of the writing process. The ideas that worked for him in real life are the ones that made it into the book."
